Contest Rules

  1. This contest is open to U.S. residents age 18 or older
  2. Videos should be no longer than 5 minutes in length.
  3. No copyrighted music can be used. You can acquire approved music from www.SharingHope.tv/music.php to use on your videos. You may also use originally recorded music or music from Apple loops. If you use copyrighted music, you must present proof of license from the artist or representative of the artist approving you to use their music in your video.
  4. All videos must meet PG-13-rating standards.
  5. Videos must be uploaded by May 24, 2009.
  6. Movies must be in one of the following formats: .mp4, .wmv, .avi, .mov
  7. After posting your video, you grant the American Cancer Society permission to use the video for internal and external promotion of Relay For Life in multi-media formats.

Survivor and Caregiver Stories

Testimonials from Survivor(s)

Testimonials from Volunteer(s)

Testimonial/Thoughts from someone who participated in the Luminaria Ceremony



 

Winning/Prizes

The person who submits the winning video(s) will win a free flipcam.

 

The winning video(s) will be featured on RelayForLife.org.

 

Winning video(s) may also be featured at National Relay For Life meetings and summits.

 

 


Criteria for Winning Videos

 

Videos will be judged by a panel of American Cancer Society staff and volunteers from across the United States. Everyone will have the opportunity to vote on the winner from a selected group of finalists. Some things we will be looking for include:

 

  • Needs to be obvious that it is related to Relay For Life
  • Video/Sound quality/clarity
  • Excellence in Editing
  • Does your video solicit emotion?
