Digital Billboard Advertising

We have a digital billboard donated before our event. Anyone ever done this and have any tips as how to do the file, etc?

Thanks

Stencils

Recently at Relay U I heard someone mention using Stencils and Chalk to mark the grounds of local stores.  We would really like to try this. Does anyone know if there are some pre made stencils that we could purchase? And has anyone tried this if so how did it go?  Any Suggestions?

Does anyone have a great example of Craigslist or volunteer posting you have used? Thanks!

Tshirt Ideas

I would really like for my committee to do a fundraiser through t-shirts.  I ahve seen some really funny cancer shirts that are good modes of publicity as well as awareness pieces.  If you have any ideas please share!  We ahve a group of kids at a local school who is offering to get them printed really cheap and donate all of the money to Relay!  They just require us to give them the idea for the slogan/wording and a design idea if we want something.

Thanks!

Would Love some Feedback on Blog/Podcast Site

Hello all,

I have posted this same item over in the Chit Chat area as well.  I wanted to share it here with people who are focused on the publicity aspect of the Relay as well.

I am new to this section of the website.  I am a volunteer for the Bismarck-Mandan, ND Relay for Life.

This year we tried something different.  We associated a blog and podcast with our relay.  It has drawn some pretty good traffic from around the country.  We are looking for any tips on how we can improve this to make it a true information source for our Relayers and their families around the country.

You can find the blog/podcast at www.relayblog.com

I appreciate any and all help that you might be able to give.

Thanks,

 Scott Wild

posters with more ethnic mix

I would like to see posters from ACS with more of a mix of people. Most of the posters show mainly white people. I am white myself, but I wanted a poster for my work place, which is predominantly Asian and South Asian.

I am hoping that by submitting pictures from our relay (which will have Asian, South Asian, Latino, and white participants) we might soon see some posters with more variety of people.

Press Release for Paint The Town Purple Day

Help! I need a press release for Paint The Town Purple Day.  Our day is this week and I need to get something to the radio stations quick.  Does anybody have something that I could customize for my Relay and send it out?  I've got some press releases for survivors, new teams, and generic Relay releases.  I'd be glad to share them.

Advertising Yard Signs

Our Relay is located in a rural area.  The towns surrounding our Relay are the same.  Has anyone used yard signs, like political signs, to advertise their Relay?  If so what did you have printed on them and was the investment worth it?

Thanks!

Learning

I'm new at all of this . You can teach an old dog new tricks!! I'm wondering why everyone that is online has a (add to buddylist) next to there  name, and I don't. The buddys that I  had on my list are no longer there, I don't know what I've done wrong.I've figured out all kinds of things to do with RFL but this is bugging me and I can't figure it out.
