Bark For Life money for animals?Hi- When I contacted a local vets office to see if they'd be interested in helping with our Bark For Life, they were hesitant to participate because they felt the money raised would only be benefiting humans and their focus is treating animals. I understand what they are saying and told them I would do some research to see if there is a connection between the research the ACS does for human cancer treatments and the canine/animal world. They felt their participation would depend on the information I could find- if the money raised at the Bark would somehow directly benefit animals they would be willing to participate, otherwise they would not. Can you provide me with any information to help with this situation? Thank you!! Barbara vt94fcd – March 9, 2010 – 5:44pm

Is there a contact list or somewhere I can go to see/contact others about past Barks and future ones that are near me? Thanks, Aaren Piscitella Bark For Life N. Dog Bone CutoutI am looking for dog bone cutouts that I can use as a fundraiser. My local vet would like to sell each cutout for $1 and paste his walls in "dog bones" that people can write in memory or in honor of a loved one. I know I can hand cut a billion of these but I was wondering if you knew of somewhere that sold these cutouts in a packet or something. cadico – January 31, 2010 – 11:03am

Help in starting Bark for LifeHi JoAnn, I'm asking for your help on how to get started with the Bark for Life. I've been looking on-line to see what all to do....I just need help in getting started. Who do you contact? Do you ask businesses for sponsorship? I know where I want to have the Bark for Life, it's my city park, a great location. bland440 – January 25, 2010 – 9:37pm

Bark For Life MerchHello JoAnn I am having trouble finding some of the merchandise that I have seen in other BFL page like the bandanas. Our team is attempting to do the BFL as a mini relay and I just need (optimistically) 100 or so. Where can I find them? Welcome to "Ask JoAnn and Sassy!"The National Relay For Life Business Unit would like to welcome you to "Ask JoAnn!" - a forum specifically developed to answer your questions regarding Bark For Life™, the American Cancer Society's canine fundraising event that supports Relay For Life. JoAnn McKiernan, our guest hostess, and her favorite canine, "Sassy" are credited with starting the first Bark For Life in Pottstown, PA, as a fundraiser to support their local Relay For Life of Pottstown. Bark For Life has swept the country as an event that brings people and their canine companions together for a few hours of fun that also raises awareness of the caregiving qualities of our dogs, and raises much needed dollars to fund the American Cancer Society's mission to end cancer. We invite you to this site and specifically this forum! Enjoy! Your Relay For Life Business Unit joycepemberton – September 16, 2009 – 11:36am
