Why Do I Relay?

Hello everyone. My name is Maricruz Ruvalcaba. I will be participating in a new Relay. On past years my city had been apart of South East Cities Relay. Recently, however, my city has been pulled away from that Relay and had been given its own Relay. I have done Relay in the past 2 years, but have never been part of any committee. This year I decided to work with my city and become the Fight Back Chairperson because no one else wanted to volunteer. I really want to help  out and make this a good event. The problem is that I am not sure what the Fight Back Committe's job is. If anyone can please help me out and give me some advice or pointers I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

I am a proud 13 year Relay For Life Volunteer from team Kiss Away Cancer, NJ. I'm a caretaker & have WAY too many reasons to Relay. Obviously, fundraising is very important - but, there are other ways for family members, friends & caretakers to FIGHT BACK against this horrible disease.  My personal "mission" for 2009 is to spread the word regarding ACS Cancer Prevention Study CPS-3. Getting ready for our relay in Plymouth MA which is June 20th and 21st and I am trying to get an estimate on how many flags are needed for the fight back ceremony. i have 35 teams and just about 600 participants - this is my first year as chair and could use a hand getting the estimate - do you give out one per person or one per captain??>

My name is Jessica Hodgkiss and I am a student @ RIT. I am on our ROTARACT committee and we are putting on Relay for Life this year. I am head of the survivorship board and we are looking for people who have battled cancer who would like to participate ion the event! We want to get people involved and have there stories heard!
