New Team Academy

Has anyone conducted a new team training.  During Relay University, it was mentioned that one Relay did a New Team Academy which was held one evening and new teams were paired with an older team.  We are interested in doing this?

Letter to past committee members and potential new ones

This is my first year as Event chair.  I need a sample letter inviting past committee members and potential new ones to this years Kick off meeting.  I am having a hard time starting the letter.

Daytime start for Relay

Does anyone do the relay from noon to midnight?  I now know the symbolism of walking the night but our committee was talking about doing it during the day hours to pull more community $ in for the auction and the fact most people don't seem to stay all  night long anymore.

Thumb Rings

Does anyone know where I can locate thumb rings - made out of the purple elastic like the wristbands that have the word "Hope" on them?  The thumb rings have "Hope" on them also.  One of our team members has seen them.  Our ACS rep doesn't know either.

Special Relay Checking accounts

Has anyone opened a checking account just for your Relay fundraising $ and used the team name as the account?  I am thinking of it just to keep that money separate from our ornaments that I hope sell like hotcakes!

The lady at the bank said we could open it up as a non-profit account is that going to cause issues for me?

Sarcoma Awareness at RFL event

I would like our Relay For Life team to incorporate sarcoma awareness this year. I think it's important because as you know it is known as the  "forgotten cancer". Does anyone have any ideas? I saw bracelets and t-shirts on one website. I'd like to know if anyone else has done this.
