Theme slogan help!

I'm chair for Valdosta State's Relay for Life. This is our first stand alone event and we want our theme to really stand out. We've decided on a music theme, but we need a catchy slogan. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Team Spirit Points

We are looking to really make our 2nd year event a big success.  We are looking to incorporate a team spirit point system and was looking for input from college events that have been successful with them on what they give points for.

80 Mile Walk for Relay for Life

Hi, a couple of friends and I are going to walk 80 miles from the University of Florida to St. Augustine Florida in less than 24 hours. We are trying to raise money for relay for life in the next 3 weeks. How do I go about doing this. How can I set up an event for them to donate online and how do I send any cash donations to relay for life. Does anyone have any experience with inventing an event and raising money? I have started a Facebook group for the event and am inviting hundreds of people but I need to tell them how to donate. Thanks

Ideas for Casino-themed Relay??

Does anyone have any ideas for a Casino-themed Relay For Life such as with decorations or activities during the night?  Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Facebook Application

I don't really have the technical expertise to do this, but it would be really nice if someone could create a relay for life facebook application.  That way relay for life participants could prominently display a logo and a link to their personal fundraiser URL on their facebook profile.  Thoughts, comments?

Not letting students leave?

Hey.  I am the co-chair of a college Relay at Seton Hall University in NJ.  I was just wanting some feedback about an issue we will likely face this year.  This is only our second year doing Relay and last years did not go all night (ended at midnight).  This year we will go all night.  It is required for all Greek organizations on campus to participate in Relay.  But for those who do not truly want to be there we are hearing they may leave half way through the event.  This is because the university will have them sign into the event at the beginning and sign out of the event at the end to "make sure" they are there all night.  But we are hearing that some students may just show up to sign in and come back in the morning to sign out saying they were there all night.

What do you suggest?  Should we not allow anybody to leave from 12am-6am to prevent this?  Any other ideas?  Thanks!

Committee Issues!

I am a co-chair of the WPI relay for life and this is our second year doing this event. We had a slow start with the committee this year but through some contests and persuasion we filled the committee spots well. Well now its comming close to kickoff and the event, and the committee members seem to be getting less involved and are not responding to emails or attending meetings. Im getting very stressed about everything and I know getting angry with them is not the best way to go. I was looking at other forums and I know the best way is to inspire them. I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on inspiring my committee or things I can say to them to get them back to 100%.

Survivorship dinner

Hello All,

At Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va, we are planning on hosting our first annual Survivorship dinner. We want to get as many survivors involved as possible. I was wondering if any other colleges/universities out there have these types of dinners and if so:

1. What does your program/agenda of the dinner look like?
2. What contact methods do you use and works the best?
3. Any suggestions?

Thanks for all your help!
