Lights on for Luminaria?Hey, I am the co-chair for the Relay For Life at Central Michigan University. We just found out that our venue can not turn off the lights for our Luminaria ceremony. We can't really go anywhere else and have never been in this kind of situation. They can't turn off the lights dut to legal risks. Our event is an inside event and we usually put glow sticks in the bags instead of candles. Any ideas on what to do? We could really use some ideas on this one... Thanks for your help! Bathroom FlyerOur college event would like to create a Bathroom Flyer or "toilet talk" to promote Relay and Skin Cancer awareness around spring break. Has anyone done something like this? Would you have examples to share? Thanks rthomas816 – February 5, 2009 – 12:57pm

Theme slogan help!I'm chair for Valdosta State's Relay for Life. This is our first stand alone event and we want our theme to really stand out. We've decided on a music theme, but we need a catchy slogan. Any ideas? Thanks so much! Mary Beth mbkenn09 – November 20, 2008 – 11:46pm

Team Spirit PointsWe are looking to really make our 2nd year event a big success. We are looking to incorporate a team spirit point system and was looking for input from college events that have been successful with them on what they give points for. laurabaran – November 4, 2008 – 12:45pm

80 Mile Walk for Relay for LifeHi, a couple of friends and I are going to walk 80 miles from the University of Florida to St. Augustine Florida in less than 24 hours. We are trying to raise money for relay for life in the next 3 weeks. How do I go about doing this. How can I set up an event for them to donate online and how do I send any cash donations to relay for life. Does anyone have any experience with inventing an event and raising money? I have started a Facebook group for the event and am inviting hundreds of people but I need to tell them how to donate. Thanks

Facebook ApplicationI don't really have the technical expertise to do this, but it would be really nice if someone could create a relay for life facebook application. That way relay for life participants could prominently display a logo and a link to their personal fundraiser URL on their facebook profile. Thoughts, comments? maccinno – March 29, 2008 – 11:09pm

Not letting students leave?Hey. I am the co-chair of a college Relay at Seton Hall University in NJ. I was just wanting some feedback about an issue we will likely face this year. This is only our second year doing Relay and last years did not go all night (ended at midnight). This year we will go all night. It is required for all Greek organizations on campus to participate in Relay. But for those who do not truly want to be there we are hearing they may leave half way through the event. This is because the university will have them sign into the event at the beginning and sign out of the event at the end to "make sure" they are there all night. But we are hearing that some students may just show up to sign in and come back in the morning to sign out saying they were there all night. What do you suggest? Should we not allow anybody to leave from 12am-6am to prevent this? Any other ideas? Thanks! shmikey88 – February 21, 2008 – 10:40am
