I have searched around the internet looking for facts to use in my newsletter for the City and I can't find the following: # of towns participating in Paint Our Town Purple around the world? Throughout the United States? AND in California? Can someone give me some approximates? I would be so thrilled!
Thank you,
Ronda

Paint Our Town Purple- I would like to know if anytown in Alabama has done it. Because the Week before Our Kickoff for Blount County, Alabama( Oneonta, Alabama-home of the Covered Bridge Festivial in October) I Hope to POTP. Then At Relay in May Recongize with an Award for which business showed the most support by going Purple for the Week. We have hair salons downtown I want to ask them if they would give 50% off hair cuts for People with Purple HAir!! Just a thought. Go Relay til a Cure is Found!
May God Bless!
Hey Ronda
I heard you were doing Pleasanton's Relay. I don't have any exact numbers, but I know Holland and Jamica did it last year, Even though the city council in Tracy said no, downtown has said yes. Last I heard there was at least 500 POTP going on in the United States, should be more with over 290 Relays in CA. Let me know what the City says.
Manteca said yes..
This is something new we are trying this year, we are going to ask all the downtown businesses to decorate their windows in purple (or with feet, and stars) so support the Relay. We are a small town and have a busy downtown area. We are still working on it but hope that it works out!
