Traditional Marketing:  TV, newspapers, local magazines, radio stations, billboards (Lamar will donate empty billboards), word of mouth (power of purple day), flyers/brochures.

 

Get a videographer to volunteer to film Relay and put together a DVD to be used the next year for marketing.

 

Door prizes at team captain meetings.  Can get purple ribbons at papermart.com

 

Put Relay cards in halloween candy bags.

Relay online, online networking like Facebook, myspace, twitter, linkedIn, youtube; text messaging; craig's list; virtual Relay For Life (second life on rfl.org), MSN alerts through ACS; wiggio.com

 

Grassroots Marketing:  local, basics, one-on-one.  ACS Mission statement (read at every meeting); ACS Cancer Action Network; Join Birthday campaign.  Use people to spell HOPE at local park and invite media to cover it.
