I am a survivor and proud of the fact that I am here today to let people know that the disease of cancer is not going to get the best of me.  I have many reasons why I continue to fight this disease but the biggest is for myself and to know that I have beaten this before and will do whatever it takes to make it through another day.  I was first diagnoised in 1987 with overian and uterian cancer and I was victorious and came out on top, was rediagnoised in 1993 with breast cancer and won that battle also, but the hardest battle is being fought right now because I was diagnoised once again with the dreaded  six letter word CANCER.  This time I am fighting non-hodkins lymphomia and each time it gets harder but I have never let it get the best of me before and I won't let it win now.

I have 20 beautiful reasons why I won't quit and each time I see their beautiful smiles it gives me something to look forward to this does not include the great grand children, daughters that have been there for me through every fight, and a family getting reunited after many, many years of seperation.  I have a family that have been very supportive through out this whole ordeal and it is bringing our family closer together and I know they are only a phone call away if I need them.  Not only my biological family but my extended family that I have found through your relay for life.program.

I have been blessed with the relay for life when I found out about it when my best friend was diagnoised with colen/rectal cancer we found out it was going to be in our area and I have been part of the Norwich walk now for the last 5 years and looking forward to each and every walk every year.  Please don't give up and let cancer win because we are all survivors.
