Funchal's Relay for Life was on September 26th. Relay site was inspiring - A wide lawn overlooking the Atlantic Ocean . Many foreigners visiting Madeira dropped by and joined Relay for Life spirit. One fifth of the 400 luminaries was not written in Portuguese. One World - One Hope. Balloons Release was spectacular . 2500 grey, red and purple balloons were released while relayers ,hand in hand, listened to John Lennon's Imagine. The Luminaries' ceremony was followed by incredible fire works illuminating the bay below the site . When is the next Relay? : the most asked question.
