Harrisonburg had Bark For Life on Aug 15th we had about 8 people on the committee with wonderful mentor from Pottstown.  We ended up with 50 dogs and over $5000.  I am currently finishing up our On line photo contest at http://opp.ipiphotonet.com/album.aspx?id=56699.  dog photos were submitted prior to the event-some of the dogs [mine] didn't even go to the event but have been raising $ by getting people to vote for the top dog. It has been so fun.  I had coin cans out and that $ went to some of the dogs to get some competition going then 2 angels came in and voted for the dogs that didn't have any votes at that time.  The contest ends at midnight Aug 22 so if you want to vote do it quickly.

We had some issues with our location this year but it was a learning year and hope to have the event prior to Relay 2010 to get more teams involved and are hoping one team will take this on as their fundraiser.  I mean can't beat the amount raised and we didn't even have food to sell- so many more opportunities for the event.  But this photo contest will be mine!  I have loved it.
