Hi All,

Just wanted to comment post-event about how awsome it was to be a part of the Hillsboro Or 2009 RFL.  Our tiny little area raised OVER $108K....with donations STILL coming in!  Great work by the committee members, volunteers, team participants and general community. 

We even made front page of our local tiny newspaper (The Argus.....and thanks for your support!)!

One thing our tiny little team did was to offer up purple pipe-cleaner survivor pins for all those who walked their inspirational &  powerful lap.  The pins didnt cost much.....just a couple of dollars, some time with friends to make em.....and fellow team mates to hand them out.  

The response we got from the survivors was very touching...and I'm wondering why every team isnt offering up little trinkets to the survivors??   Doesnt have to be anything hugely ellaborate....just a little something to let these folks know that we are with them in their battle. 

Even though we just finished our event a few days ago....I already have a BUNCH of ideas for the 2010 event.  Just something to think about.  Trust me.....the warm response you receive for just a little bit of time, energy and money is WELL worth it!
