We have this turned on for our Relay, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to edit the Fundraising Honor Roll (scrolling donations) for these donations if they have been entered incorrectly for them. Either by the captain or the original team member who entered the offline donation?

Editing donation info

Keri, I think the short answer is not by the Relayer or TC, but your Event's Relay Online Chair can access donation records (pass on that it's via EMC / Customer Support / Manage Participants / / View Gifts. You'll have to provide your ROC the particulars about which donation needs what edits.

Disclaimer: Our Division doesn't have offline donation entry turned on, so I can't test to see if there's a path via the Participant Center; I doubt there is, so you'll have to contact your ROC regardless for guidance.

Thanks for the response!

Rick,

Thank you for your response. I also wondered if we couldn't simply delete the couple of problem donations since they are offline entries (they haven't been turned in yet) and re-enter them with the correct text for the Honor Roll? Would that mess things up in the end do you suppose?

Appreciatively,
Keri

deleting donations

Quirk of Convio...donations can't be deleted (though online / credit card donations can be refunded). So, the alternative for offline donations is to edit them to $0 and, if appropriate, suppress the dedication text by making the donation anonymous. Again, though, I think the edits can only be made via the Event Management Center (EMC) by your Relay Online Chair.

By the way, since you're Online Fundraising Chair for your Event, you may already have access to the EMC. If you want guidance on the ins and outs of Convio, subscribe to the Relay Online Chair Network (ROCN) (www.relayforlife.org/relay/node/1623) group here on relayforlife.org. Lots of lessons learned and such.

offline donations

when the offline donations option is available to the participant, they still need to be confirmed by either a staff member or by the ROC. they need to be confirmed on the backend but if they have not yet been confirmed, they can be rejected in order to delete them. rick is correct, it still must be done on the backend and not by the participant. if you are looking for a specific donation that may be missing, please check that it has not been entered in the general donations to the event as a whole instead of to an individual. my event did have this happen a few times.

Okay - thank you both.

I appreciate the input. Because these were offline donations and the check writers aren't probably going to be seeing the online site, it isn't that important that the scrolling site looks as perfect as my mates were hoping so it isn't such a critical thing. Thank you both for your responses. I think we'll just let it go. Relay is days away at this point.

Thanks again!
