My Relay committee is about $4300 away from meeting their goal for the fiscal year which ends August 31.  We want to do some summer fundraising... but besides the "cliche summer activities" (such as carwashes etc) we are kind of stuck. We plan on helping freshman move in where we would ask for donations and doing a welcome back dance...does anyone else have some ideas??

summer fundraising

Does your community have any summer picnics or parades where your team could sell something? I've noticed several organizations selling water, soda, paper fans, ect along parade routes. Another team in my relay does a Bicycle Poker Run where participants must ride their bicycles. Good luck!

I've had a lot of success

I've had a lot of success with Spaghetti feeds in the past. It's low cost and usually pretty easy to get people to donate items for it. Perhaps you can do it as a welcome back dinner, with raffle prizes that might be useful to students, too!

Something to think about

You could try to have a battle of the bands night where you line up several local bands to play for free and charge a small amount to get in you could do it indoors or out and you could get some of the teams that might not have reach thier goals yet to do bake sales or have raffles during the show could be a lot of fun hope this helps.
