I intended to hit the highlights of the weekend now but there was so many exciting activities I could never do them all justice and I would hate to leave one out, as all are certainly note worthy. So I am asking for a representative from each team that fundraised this weekend to hit comments below and tell us of your event, maybe even add why YOU Relay. We really want to know - what went on, roughly what you raised, and why you Relay. Come on now! No shyness please, this is Relay we are talking about! OH - before I let you go... *The All-Stars Relay For Life Team is presenting The Hope Hunt to benefit Relay for Life. This is a two week hunt + race beginning June 21, 2009 and ending July 4, 2009. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO RELAY FOR LIFE.

Memorial Rockin Relay!!!
All I can say is WOW and TY TY TY to all that attended, gave support and any donations they could afford to give!
505,247L in 26 hours!!!
How it began:
This event all began 3 years ago when a good friend of mine in SL Feliciaa Feaver lost her battle with Cancer. I did wanted to honor her with music and dance and friendship while involving Relay for Life in SL. These were all things she was very passionate about in SL.
In years past this event was only open to whatever team I was currently on. This year I wanted to do something different... To go out on my own and bring as many teams as I could with me. I felt together we could achieve so much more supporting each other. I ran this idea past my dear friend Nevar Lobo who of course said lets go for it! So I geared up for 26 hours of DJing and along with Nev, Ame, Wiccan and 11 teams jumped on board!
We had a great line up of Teams with great team spirit!! The support they gave each other durring the event was something to witness. I've never seen anything like it.
A rundown of teams in the order they appeared:

Final total of all teams and extra two hours into the general fund... 505,247L
I honestly never expected such a turn out like this. I want to thank everyone involved from the bottom of my heart!
All of you showed the true meaning of relay: Togetherness and support for each other! I hope one day I can DJ for 26 hours because we are throwing a Cancer has been defeated party and you are all invited! WOOT! You guys rock!

I also want to thank every one who came out and spend the minutes , hours and some the whole day with us this weekend... An AMazing effort that one could not even imagine. It never seems to fail when you begin to wonder about an event people show up with passion and the biggest heart in the world and say " don't worry .... more on the way " I have done some combinded events in the past but do have to say that this event ... OMG .. This event... it brought chills to my body from start to finish...
GO Relay !!! Remember " Hold on to each other .... We are one World that will make a difference "

United Forces Against Cancer did fight this weekend
Hello everybody :)
Last saturday 23rd May 2009, our team United Forces Against Cancer did a small rave party event. Quite normal you'll tell me? Yes besides the fact that this time we had only artists from real life.
2ndthoughts Brando aka Noraj Cue, Bridgitte Boucher and... the exceptional DJ set by Monosurround from Citizen records Berlin. It was their 2nd gig in SL and! their 2nd gig for Relay for Life as well.
With the team and sim owner we spent a week cleaning the sim from all laggy sources and we did that party with swimwear as dresscode. So for the 1st time in my second life, i heard people in chat saying they enjoyed a crowded no laggy party :)
We've played all night long with the level of the sea: when donations went down, water went up in the club and the opposite, more donations, less water :)
Our United Forces hosting team did an amazing job on awareness.
We had 150 visitors, and we're raised 80.000 L$ in 6 hours.

I'm really happy to see how some artists from real life very simply get engaged in that fight. You could think: they are in world tour, album promo, they will never want or have the time. Well you never know, If you admire some artists, just ask them, present them shortly RFL and go for it!
United Forces next event is saturday 6th June, a fashion with 14 designers.
