Hello everyone. My name is Maricruz Ruvalcaba. I will be participating in a new Relay. On past years my city had been apart of South East Cities Relay. Recently, however, my city has been pulled away from that Relay and had been given its own Relay. I have done Relay in the past 2 years, but have never been part of any committee. This year I decided to work with my city and become the Fight Back Chairperson because no one else wanted to volunteer. I really want to help out and make this a good event. The problem is that I am not sure what the Fight Back Committe's job is. If anyone can please help me out and give me some advice or pointers I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

From all that I have read, I believe the Fight Back Ceremony comes after the Luminaria Ceremony (a/k/a Remember.) At our Relay this year, we have a middle school cheerleader squad that will perform a "pep rally" for our Fight Back Ceremony. They have put together a few cheers about fighting cancer. It's kind of a spin off of the "Go Fight Win" motto for our Relay, which is "Team Up For A Cure" (a sports theme).
Hope this helps.
