Rick,

I am preparing the total amount of t-shirts we will need to order this year for our event.  After viewing all the reports available and speaking with my staff person, can you tell me how I can put shirt "totals" (i.e.-# of smalls, # of medium, # of large, etc).  It seems that there would be an easier way than to do all of this manually.  With over 2000 registered participants, this would be a daunting task.  I'm sure there's a simple solution that I am overlooking.  Thank you in advance for your help.  Have a great weekend!

T-shirt report

Carol, go to the ROCN Implementation Guides page and scroll to the last IG...it's an Excel app I wrote last year to tabulate sizes by team.  It uses data from the "Event - T-shirt (All participants") report (fifth one on the list in EMC / Reports for South Atlantic Division events).

NOTE: The app uses macros, so if your copy of Excel balks on opening the file, you may need to set Excel security at "medium". The macro is benign and the file has been scrubbed through McAfee.

If you have any trouble running the app, email me your Event's downloaded t-shirt csv file and I'll run it through the app for you.

Caution: Format change for 2009 t-shirt report

Apparently, there's a 5XL t-shirt size available this year. As a result, the "Packing List" tab will need to be adjusted to print properly if any of your participants selected "XXXXXL" as a t-shirt size.

  • Highlight columns A through M and click on File / Print Area / Set Print Area.
  • Highlight columns B through M and right mouse click / column width / 6.6.

With these changes, you'll get a summary report that's one page wide.

If you want a one-page-per-team packing list, go to the Details tab and use the pull-down in the column H header. You can then cycle through each team and print a packing list for each bag.
