We are looking to partner up with another Relay. The publicity factor is unbelievable as well as the challenges that can pop up. We want to put a computer on the field with a webcam and compare notes "live". Please contact me at swg49@charter.net

Where is your relay? I am the entertainment chair for our relay in Monroe County, IL and our relay is September 11 - 12 as well. What do you all have in mind? I can discuss this with other committee members and see what they think.

I'm glad to hear you've added some teams - thats great! I just had a baby 3 weeks ago so I've been a little preoccupied with her. We haven't had a committee meetingsince your first post so I haven't been able to talk with the other committee members but I am sending an e-mail to our event chair and acs partner now and I will get back to you as soon as I here from them. Sister Relay

Hi Amanda,

I am Steve and I am the Co-Chair for our event. We hold it in Auburn, MA. This is our 6th year and we are trying to outdo our past 5 Relays in every way. I saw the article about the international partnership Relays but could not find anyone on our dates. Last year we had bad weather and only brought in $84,000. We had 36 teams. We are trying to inspire our teams to do better and get more teams. So far we only have 3 registered on line. We know we have a lot more than that but we are having our first team captain meeting on Monday, 3/23.

We feel that having a sister relay the same days as ours will give us competition to increase our numbers as well as try to have several checkin times during the Relay to turn on some web cams to see each other. I have no idea how big your relay is? We can share info and try to push our teams one step further. Also think of the publicity we could each get from this. Unbelievable!!

Please let me know how your group feels about it. It won't require much work to do it. We would each just have to find someone with a laptop with a webcam. These days it shouldn't be too difficult.
