I have read several suggestions on how to do the 'Karaoke For A Cure' but were thinking that there were more. Has anyone ever done this? How did it turn out? I was thinking about going to a local bar in town that has karaoke just about every Friday night and see if he will let me advertise/promote the karaoke for a cure and do the suggestion that I had seen posted on here before about making a donation to have someone sing a song but for them not to sing they have to make a bigger donation. Any other suggestions?
Also I am planning on proposing this to a local bar in the next week or so. Any suggestions on how I should present this to him? He already does karaoke on Friday nights so was thinking could just do it then.

I'm on our Program Committee at my college and we had "Karaoke and Comedy for a Cure" for our team for our college's Relay in March and the turn out was fabulous! All our events have to be free but we asked for donations at the door and made about $100.00 in donations. Karaoke was the first half of the night and then we had a comedian the second half. I hope things go well for you!
