Our team is holding a bowling fundraiser/silent auction. We've held a silent auction so I know how to do that! What I need help with is the bowling fundraiser. Basically our bowling alley is donating to us 1/2 of the bowling alley. We can sell those lanes however we choose for 3 hours. Anyone have any ideas on pricing, obviously I want it to a better deal then what you would normally get from the bowling alley, but should be do a flat rate for 1 hr? or per game? not sure how to handle this and we would need to presell the tickets!

Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated!

Bowling Fundraiser

I have done 2 bowling fundraisers, I did not raise a lot of money (couple of hundred both times) but what I did was the bowling alley had me charge $3 for the first game to include shoes if needed and then charge $2 per game after and we split the profits. so anyone that wanted to bowl 3 games it cost $7 dollars. I also had a raffle for a $50 gas card. I hope this gives you some ideas, and good luck.

Hi, I read the post about bowling fundraisers, I am the team captain of two relay teams for our local relay and we have been doing a bowling tournament and raffles for the past 5 years. We charge $15.00 per bowler and we usually end up with 35-40 bowlers. I have a lot of tips I can give you to help you have a successfeul fundraiser. We usually raise between 1000-1500 dollars at this even every year. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any help.

Bowling Fundraiser Idea

I have not participated in a Relay for Life bowling fundraiser but I did last year for our local Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Each team had four players on it and each player had to try and collect $25 each and that was for one or two games (I can't remember for sure), shoes, and a piece of pizza.  If they collected $50 they also received a t-shirt.  I do not know what was worked out with the bowling alley though.  Hope this helps and good luck!
