I am open to all ideas, Please help, Also where do you get the catalog that has all the relay goodies to buy for fundraisng and stuff? I would love to get one for this year if at all possible. Please let me know. You guys are great! Thanks,

I have an AMAZING luminary script that is tailored to the 25th year celebration, if that is something you guys are looking for. I incorporates a balloon launch into the luminary ceremony, which is something we have done for years and it always gets complements. This year we have decided to make the balloon launch a part of the actual luminary ceremony. (I'm excited about this, I think it is going to be incrediable)
As for making the luminary ceremony big for your event, it really comes down to taking every opportunity you have to promote it. Use your local newspaper to promote it, turn it into a public interest piece. Most newspapers also have a community section. Work with your PR committee to write up something that says what you are doing for luminary and integrate that into the community section.
If you are interested in the script, feel free to email me at cdewine21@hotmail.com and I will gladly send it to you.
Good Luck
Hi, I am actually the chair for our local relay and my husband is doing the luminary part for the second year. This year we are going to put a ribbon shape on each side of the bleachers out of luminary bags and then spell HOPE in the middle, but while everyone is walking around during that first lap of the luminary ceremony we are going to change it from HOPE to CURE. I don't know if this is something you would be interested in doing but I do have a layout for it that I can email to you. Good Luck and Best Wishes
Andrea
Hi!
My neice, Florence Lucas (St.Vincent St. Mary grad), was (and is this year) co-chair for the University of Cincinatti event and though I didnt attend, heard she had tons of events going on all night long such as wheelchair races, corn hole, $1 and get to throw water balloons at volunteers, someone had a pet lizard and would walk around and have their picture taken with for couple dollars, sling shot water balloons, candy selling, apparently a great event. I would think you could email her if you like at
