This is my first year as Team Captain and I have people who are donating from all over the state.

What are some ideas for fundraising that everyone can do, even though we're so far apart?

One thing I am doing is calling my past customers (I host Passion Parties) and asking for donations to the cause.
However, most of the people walking with me aren't Passion consultants, so what are some great (cheap!!!!) ideas to fundraise that these people can do that won't cost a lot out of pocket??

I'm so excited to start raising money!!

Hot dog dinner

I would set a price for your hot dog dinner.  We have a hamburger cookout annually and charge $5 for the burger, chips, drink and a dessert - pretty much everything is donated with the exception of the meat but we usually get a discount because we serve over 1200 people!  This sounds like a fun idea - GOOD LUCK!!!

Talent Show

We had a meeting last night and one member was with another team last year and did a talent show.  We just have to get people to perform for the guests that come out and serve hot dogs, chips, soda, cookies.  They said do a free will offering I am wondering if we shouldn't charge a set price for the food.  They got it all donated last year.  And we are going to ask businesses for gift certificates, baskets, etc for door prizes during the event.

Our team name is Hooked on a Cure so I am going to get a bunch of little fish bowls for each table and put coins in them to hopefully encourage people to tip us.

It isn't until the end of March so I will keep you posted.  It sounds like fun!

Ideas

Are you looking for ideas for the people who are out-of-town or your actual team memebers?

If it's your out-of-town folks, then there is a really neat letter/form that you could send to them called "Thirty dollars from thirty friends!".  They can take it around to their friends, family, co-workers or whoever.

If it's your team members, then try putting together a valentine gift basket and selling chances for donations - or - having a bake sale - or - a rummage/garage sale).

We have been successful with all these fundraisers.  Good luck!

fundraising

You can have a spaghetti dinner.  Ask businesses for donations.  Go to Price Chopper and fill out donation form.  Some of them help out.

Thank you
