Christmas Bazar
We just run a Christmas Bazar last week at New London, Connecticut at 215 Washington Ave. We had almost 50 vendors selling all kinds of stuff for holiday shopping. We used the money raised a one stand for donations and we got $1200. This was the first time we did that and we will continue next year, hopefully raising more. All is donated for cancer research.
Hope to see you there next year.

My family is part of a comunity managed school, and a couple times a year we do fundrising events. The 2 more popular and successfull are:
1) Arts Caffe - In a spring afternoon, we expose and sell local artists work, charging for the exposition space only (they get the sales profit), also they give workshops for the kids in the playyard and also, beverages and donated cakes are sell to the atendees. Performing arts are also presented in the aula magna of the school.
2) Oktober Fest - From Germany, this event, is also performed in a late afternoon, fair games are set up and participants pay a small fee ($1). Beer coupons are given with the entry tickets (so nobody gets too much! ~:) )
With this 2 events we rise most of the money required to send top two grades to a camp for 1 week in the summer. :D
Hope you liked it!

Our team has an annual Holiday Bake Sale. This year we had less items to sell, but we still raised $640.00 our highest sale was last year and made just over $700!
We ask our co-workers and team members to help donate baked goodies. We have them packaged in holiday tins, goodie bags or boxes. They are so pretty no one can pass up our table. Our team works in a Judical Center so we hand out flyers to all the offices around our building. We start at 8:00 in the morning and usual finish or sell out by 10:00-10:30. This year we sold out in record time by 9:15!
We decided to add another Holiday Bake Sale on Easter Thursday!
Our town hosted a Victorian Holiday Celebration the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We set up a purple prelit Christmas Tree from Walmart & had a table at the event. The space was free because it was for Relay. We offered silver ornaments to people to write the names of loved ones who have or had cancer on to create our "Tree of Hope". Our goal was to bring awareness of Relay For Life to our Community so we did not charge for the ornaments. However, we had a donation jar out and most people did donate so we collected $200 for our Relay! The best part was talking to so many people about Relay & handing out information. We hope that by having a presence at community events like this we will get more people involved in Relay.
Tomorrow Dec. 6th at 915 Newport Ave in Pawtucket, RI I will be holding a Christmas Bazaar. There is approx. 30 vendors to help you with your holiday shopping. With money raised just from table space I have raised $605.00. I hope that thru sales and donations to raise much more. My goal for this event is $1000.00. If you live in the area and would like to stop by we would love to have you. It is from 9a.m. till 4p.m. We also have Cancer Roses on sale with proceeds going to Relay for LIfe, plus lots of others.
Hope to see you.

Awesome video--I'll have some of that rum cake!
I recently held a holiday shopping fundraiser, with 11 different vendors (www.topsitesforyou.com/RelayParty.html to see what it looked like, though don't place any orders--the event is over!). Despite the troubled economy and lackluster attendance, I believe the event will have raised over $300 for my individual fundraising efforts.
Someone at work held a greens sale (Mickman Brothers), which netted them about $2k for another organization
I also think that bake sales at your local grocery store or outdoor shopping mall might be a nice way to give people some goodies to take to holiday parties
What about selling handwarmers at an outdoor event (football game, hockey, or ice skating) or ski slope ?
Just a few ideas...
