Hotel California - Eagles Tribute Band Concert
|
Our Mohican Valley Relay For Teams have organized an Outdoor concert to be held a day before our Relay starts. The concert will be at our Redbird Stadium in Loudonville. We got sponsors to pay for the travel and the band. They are the # 1 Eagles Tribute Band in the nation. The concert tickets are $10.00 per person, and our stadium will seat up to 1,400 people. Any suggestions on how to spread the word?

I can help with net banners.
Jerrilynn, When is your event? If you wish to do so, you can e-mail me at jennifervernon@newwavecomm.net and I can help you with banners for MySpace or Facebook if you don't have anyone who can make those up for you locally. If you want to see samples of what I can do, just send me an e-mail and I'll give you some sites. Good luck! Jennifer Vernon 2009 Clay County, AR, Online Chair 2009 Piggott Schools RFL Team Captain
Take advantage of any free
Take advantage of any free advertising that's available. WNCO has a community calender you can post on there for free, I'm sure they'd even announce it on the radio if you ask. Local papers will most likely also run a story. Craigslist.com is free advertising. And I agree about having something that your relayers can post on their myspace or facebook pages. Make sure you have flyers that your teams can pass out at their fundraisers or place at local businesses. Good luck!!
~ Kelly Internet, Local News, Calendars
Don't overlook the power of the Internet. Perhaps you could have someone make up banners for your Relayers to place on their MySpace and Facebook pages? I make banners for some independent bands regularly, and the impact they have had on gaining new fans and increasing revenue on CD sales cannot be denied. I'd also see about getting it on TV if you have a channel that runs advertisements about things going on around town, or in the community calendar of area newspapers. A lot of television stations also have Community Calendars where they select events to promote on the noon news. Some have the option to add events to them on the station's Web site, and some require a postcard to be mailed in. I'd also see about getting time on the morning show or the lunchtime news to promote the event as it draws near. Good luck!
