Has anyone conducted a new team training.  During Relay University, it was mentioned that one Relay did a New Team Academy which was held one evening and new teams were paired with an older team.  We are interested in doing this?

New Team Training

When I was the staff partner for the Isle of Wight Relay in VA, we did something similar to this.  Honestly we didn't have a huge turn out.  I think that was just poor timing.  The Team Recruitment sub-committee lead it.  They explained every piece of the team captain kit and how to utilize it.  They were then partnered with an experienced team.

For instance, our Top Team mentored a new one.  The new Team Captain (TC) attended the team meetings of the experienced team.  They also went to their first team fundraiser.  It showed hands on how to lead a meeting and plan a fundraiser.  The experienced TC went to the rookie TC's team meeting and first fundraiser.  At the monthly All Team meetings, they spoke about their progress.

Unfortunately we really didn't have the plan put on paper.

Team mentoring

I love this idea and would love to hear more about it, as well!
