Hello Relayers!

I am a proud 13 year Relay For Life Volunteer from team Kiss Away Cancer, NJ. I'm a caretaker & have WAY too many reasons to Relay. Obviously, fundraising is very important - but, there are other ways for family members, friends & caretakers to FIGHT BACK against this horrible disease.  My personal "mission" for 2009 is to spread the word regarding ACS Cancer Prevention Study CPS-3. You will be hearing more from me once "Relay Season" is in full swing - but in the meantime, please go to www.cancer.org - click on the links for CPS-3 to learn how easy it is for ALL to help in the fight against cancer. 

In 2008, I myself enrolled in CPS-3 to honor my family members & loved ones who have had to deal with cancer first-hand.  CPS-3 is MY way of fighting back! I signed up in Honor of Claire - my Mom , who is a 13 year cancer survivor. I did it to Remember my Uncle Paul - who we lost in 2007. I did it to Fight Back for Sarah - my eighteen year old niece. MY DREAM is for the word "cancer" to fall into the same catagory as "polio" or the "black plague" for example...words significant in historical value - but something we no longer have to fear.
