During these economic times, it is important to remember that part of what makes Relay For Life so successful is that most of our donations come in just a couple of dollars at a time. Don't be discouraged or afraid to hold several fundraisers in order to reach your goal. You don't have to do just one big fundraising event.
Also, think about if you had less money to spend...but still want to give to charity...what would you spend your money on? Successful fundraisers during economic recessions are usually fundraisers that simply replace something that someone would already spend money on.
Most everyone has a couple of 1 dollar bills in their pocket or gets change somewhere.
HOPE Dollars are something that EVERYONE can take part in. Whether it is an adult or child, college student, retiree, or corporate chair.
Look at those $1 bills,
If there is a H in the "seal" on the front of the dollar or a H in the "serial number" of that dollar bill. Put it aside and donate it to Relay for Life as a dollar towards HOPE.
HOPE that some day there will be a cure for this disease.
I really like the idea of setting aside dollar bills with the letter "H" in the seal. Thanks for sharing.
