Any idea's out there for a cancer related slogan. We have decided to do a Relay Theme relating to Relay Around the World but need to pinpoint something smart and catchy. Looking to have each team pick a country and decorate from there. Survivors would be given passports to go to each site and get validated etc. Any idea's?

How about this one?

Hope Has No Borders or Boundaries

I just saw this thread and

I just saw this thread and thought I'd offer my two cents.  Our Relay had a theme of "Where in the World Is A Cure for Cancer" a few years ago.  Each team picked a country to represent and decorated their campsite accordingly.  I gave each team capt and committee member a passport.  It had various tasks that the team or person should complete before or during Relay.  Each meeting they attended, they got a stamp.  If they brought food for our meeting, a stamp.  If they gave a presentation about their country, a stamp, if they wore Relay gear to a meeting, stamp...at the event, we had them bring or decorate a flag or symbol from their country.  It was pretty neat, and everyone enjoyed it.  We sort of went from the game show, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego"...good luck!

Hey Sherri,My University

Hey Sherri,

My University hosted their first annual Relay for Life of Quinnipiac University last April and our theme was "Relay Around the World" and our slogan was "Passport to Hope". We promoted the fact that no matter how much distance separates us, we are all connected through cancer because cancer has no boundaries, no language barrier, and it does not discriminate. All our teams were named after different parts of the world (example: Cancer, Norway! Cancer Israel, Shake Djibouti, We CANada find a cure). I hope this helps! If you need any ideas let me know!

Wow what a great idea...Many Thanks!!!!!

video

Hi Sherri... I'm not sure if the video is online, but at the Pennsylvania Relay Leadership University conference, we saw a video of Australian Relayers wishing a happy birthday to the US' 25th birthday.

It may be a neat addition!

As for a slogan..... I'll need to think about that one!

Relay around the world

We used the theme "The Amazing Race to Cure Cancer"  a few years back and had the teams each be different countries, cities, states, or parts of the U.S.   It was very successful and we had a great time with an Amazing Race style scavanger hunt.
