What a day! We just had our Relay U on saturday - and boy did we walk away charged up.  If cancer was something physical- it would have gotten beaten down to the ground.  We are ready to do some serious fighting back.  I had another brainstorm, a couple of our speakers were dressed in army clothes ready to fight back.  Well our Relay City has a airforce base, so next saturday I will be at thier barber shop and will recruit a team of soldiers to host our fight back tent - I think they will do it, I will let you know how it goes.  Well on the National Accounts list I pulled from this site, we have 14 in our city (counting the multiples (like 3 starbucks - 3 Bank of America's)there are 22) - right now we have 6 on board and we have not even had our kick off yet.  Cool uh? I just recruiter my nieghbor as Sponsorship Chair - I don't think our relay has had one before.  I think people are open to helping all we need to do is make the ask.

Saturday will be a day to hit the Base Barber Shop and try to get some more businesses on board.

Oh I also had another thought at the relay u - I have a call to our mall to see if we can have a table in the mall to recruit for our relay - I will let you know what they say - Would like to do it before our kick off meeting.  Also working on a Survivor/Caregiver Luncheon - that will grow our Survivor Lap as well as honor them along with thier caregivers for thier fight.

Lot more in my head, but time for dancing with the stars!  Will tell you later about a fund raiser on site for all the teams - it's called "Who wants to be a Star".  Our theme is 2009 our Time to Shine.  Stars - Shine get it? Laughing
