Finding your 2009 Event site (Posted 9/15/08)

It's mentioned below under initialization, but to clarify...2009 sites have been set up with friendly URLs in the form www.RelayForLife.org/

eventST, where event is the community name and, optionally, ST is the state abbreviation if there are multiple communities / counties with the same name in SA Division.

If you bookmarked last year's Event in your Web browser, you'll have to use the 2009 URL and re-bookmark. Browsers and domain forwards use the full URL ( http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFLFY09SA...).

Make sure when you send out a "We're ready to register teams for Hometown Relay" coaching email that you specify that your Relayers need to go to www.RelayForLife.org/hometown. Also point out that they should click on the "Returning Participant? Log In..." icon, and then, Start a Team / Join a Team.

  

Initialization of 2009 Event sites (9/12/08)

If it hasn't already been done, access your 2008 Event site and via EMC / Event Center / Edit Event Options / 3. Edit Event Status, change the status to "Closed".

• South Atlantic Division sites have been set up with friendly URLs in the form www.RelayForLife.org/eventST, where event is the community name and, optionally, ST is the state abbreviation if there are multiple communities / counties with the same name in SA Division.
• If your username was validated for Event Manager last year, it will be validated automatically this year. Contact your Staff partner if there are issues with your validation.
• Use the "Returning participant? Login before you sign in..." link below the large Sign Up and Donate icons. Most of your 2008 profile data is carried forward. Coach your participants to do the same; they'll find their personal participant page content (image and text and email contacts) have been carried forward from last year.
