South Atlantic Events are being notified this week that their sites are ready to go live. A few key points:
- "Friendly URLs" have been set up for you as www.RelayForLife.org/event or www.relayforlife.org/eventST. Since there's only one Asheville Relay, your site is www.relayforlife.org/asheville (no state abbreviation).
- Make sure you coach your users to re-bookmark to the 2009 site (the long URL, which is what bookmarks really point to) is different than the 2008 site's.
- Coach your users to click on the "Returning Participant? LogIn before you sign up..." link; it prepopulates the registration data. I noticed it also keeps last year's picture and customized text on the participant page.
- Team Captains still have to "Start a team" (it won't assume a returning TC is still a TC) and the team page won't be carried forward from last year.
Guidance on initializing your Event sites coming in a subsequent ROCN Forum posting.

I have only 1 question.
What would we ever do without you?
I hope we never have to find out!
Being my second year I am still wet behind the ears, and appreciate any information you and people like Diva pass my way.
08 was not as good as we would have wanted, but with the economy and the weather we ended up positive
Look out 09.....we are going to kick the $%# out of Cancer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you both again
Hi David,
I know in California each year we get a new website just for that year with a new URL and all the newest enhancements. I think the same is true for each Division. Your ACS partner who handles eMarketing and/or training will probably notify you when it ready for use and if you need new or updated training when the time comes.
