I so enjoy reading the blogs, thank you for taking the time to put them up. They help me look at things through another’s eyes and that is a good thing. Several of the people I volunteer with for my local Relay have joined this site with me so we can stay in touch and sharpen our "relaying" skills. I hope they will each click the BLOG button and share with you about their experiences during Relay. But here is one note from a friend and I kinda bet she is too shy to post it, so I am jumping out there for her - it gave me that opportunity for looking through another's eyes and I hope it will do the same for you. Fay Why I Relay, I relay to help bring awareness! If, for only one person that needs encrouragement. that needs to be brave enough to take immediate action against this insidious disease called "cancer". As a nurse, I see all too often people who wait far to long before going to their doctor. Often out of denial, fear, self diagnosis and being misinformed. I relay because I see you in the waiting room, fidgeting with a magazine. I see you bear the indignities of being examed. I see your courage, your fears and your tears. Most importantly, *I see YOU*, not with just my eyes, but, with my heart. I relay to cheer you on with Godspeed! I relay because time is of the essence! I relay because you inspire me to become a better person, a better nurse! I relay so I can walk by your side! This weekend has been an amazing, inspirational experience that surpasses words. Im honored and humbled to be a part of Relay For Life. Astounded at all the hard work and endless hours of campaigning, volunteering. Watching those numbers in the Kiosks go higher as we fight for that ultimate CURE! Truly amazed as so many talented and creative people rallied together, their Team Captains leading the way. The utterly amazing time and effort that went into each sim filled with buildings and displays with fierce imagination and talent. I relay for those in my own family that I've lost. Thank you ALL!! Iembrace you with love and compassion, With insipiration because there is HOPE! I relay because there is no geography in SL! But friends and family who can come together and rally for victory! GO RELAY!!! Your Care Giver Trackback URL for this post:http://www.relayforlife.org/relay/trackback/4231
