Getting Started
It has not been so many years since I got involved so I can still relate to your questions. The best place I know of to get started is to call your local American Cancer Society office. Or call 1-800-ACS-2345. They can give you your local contact person. They will be able to help you get started. North Canton, OH, contact
Michael, the closest Relay to you looks to be Jackson Township's, scheduled for next week-end at Kent State's Stark Campus. The ACS Staff partner supporting the Event is Sarah Kalina, sarah.kalina@cancer.org. Your best bet is to contact her directly. You can participate by forming a team, becoming an Event sponsor, or simply donating to the Event itself. Sarah can explain local options; you can also click on the Sponsor link on the left nav of the Jackson Twp Relay site (link above). I'm a small business owner whose business offers computer services, we would like to do a promotion and at the same time donate to a cause. Exactly how do I get started in setting this up? I've searched the page and have found no information on how to get started, where should I send the money, to what organization can I have clients make checks to for tax deductions, is there a site where we can enter peoples and company names and how much they have donated and how much my business has raised to date?
