Account for online fundraising
|
I just signed up (offline) for the Jazzercise team, Stutsman County, ND Relay for Life event. I was given a packet to collect donations. I would also like to collect online. I searched for my team, but there doesn't appear to be a webpage set up for them. Can I register as an individual or will that register me twice for the event? Any suggestions on what to do? This is my first time doing relay. Thanks, Melisa Trackback URL for this post:http://www.relayforlife.org/relay/trackback/3964
Repairing your Credit...
Bad credit repair is a good tool. Many of us have made the same mistakes over and over again, and ignored our credit problems, which you just can’t keep doing. It makes people paranoid, afraid to open their mail or answer their phones. Many of us just weren’t taught proper money management skills, and get over our heads with debt. Not fixing the problem, and it won’t go away on its own, leads to a lower credit score, which gets in a person’s way if they want to buy a home, or a new car. Its hard to have bed credit in times of emergency needs, you cant ask for help immediately, checking of credits is necessary. Improving credit means a better credit card APR, a better APR on car loans, and better APR on mortgages. You have to get back on track if you can, pay down that card or other debt, but no one is going to make it easy. You will have to scrimp, save, and pinch your pennies. However, the longer you keep at it, the better your bad credit gets. . We don't have that option
Online fundraising
Melisa, until your registration is posted to the Stutsman Count Relay site, you won't be able to set up your personal page. Once your registration is posted, you should receive an email advising you of your username and password. Sign In to the Event site and click on the Participant Center link that will appear below the Sign Out button. Click on the top nav of this site...Relay Resources / Relay Online for Teams for some helpful videos on launching your online campaign. /Rick Follow Up Question
Thanks Rick, After asking my team captain the same question, they have now created a team page, but I'm still not sure how to proceed. When I click Join This Group, I don't get the option for "participate registering offline" as on the video in the Relay Resources section. I have already registered offline. Does someone need to add me to the team first? Is that person my team captain or the online manager for Stutsman County RFL? Or is that person me via registration online? I'm not usually a computer dunce, but this is confusing. I think my team captain is confused too. From one of the messages she sent me, she suggested I register online. It just seems like then I'd be registered twice (once offline, once online)... Any help would be appreciated. Melisa Registering online vs. offline
Melisa, do check with your local Event committee or ACS Staff partner since local practices may vary. Here in South Atlantic Division, when someone registers offline (with a paper form), the Relay Online team enters the data and once that's done, you're personal page is activated. Indeed, if you were to register online (whether paying the $10 fee by credit card or opting, if your Event offers the choice, a $0 "I'll give the money to my TC" choice), you may end up with two registrations / usernames / participant records for your team. So, verify that if you submitted a reg form, that'll be sufficient to establish your participant record. /Rick registering
here in Nebraksa we had to register on paper and online; online you can pick the option of something like "I will pay to my Team Captain" just pick that and then they can know that you already padi with your paper copy. If you can find you team name, then just click Join team and you will be set to start emailing and collecting donations and tracking your progress. ours is in O'Neill, Nebraska and we are Pink Ribbon Racers, if you want to look at it to get an idea. Registrations
This is our first year going without off-line (paper) registrations. So far, we've had a pretty good success rate with it, in my opinion. Plus, with the on-line fundraising tools incorporated into the website, it makes fundraising a breeze. Check out our site - we're in the process of posting the event details - what's happening when. http://www.relayforlifepolkmetro.org/ On-line fundraising
Congratulations on meeting your goal - that wasn't too bad, was it? On-line fundraising through the website here is actually quite easy. It identifies the e-mail as coming from you, and has the link included. I love that fact, as it means I don't have to put anything in the mail and can still go ahead and raise money effectively. |
