My name is Bernadette Romano and I have been the luminaria chairperson for the Pacific  Palisades for the last three years

over the last three years we not only did a hand picked auction - we did  a silent auction

We have received donations of a Joe Montana Signed Football to Louis Liocari hair spa in Beverly Hills and also Erin Condren the stationer in Los Angeles  - gave us a basket of goodies totaling 500 dollars - inc a gift certificate of 100

Recently one of our favorite restaurants decided to give a  donation of 20% of the bills for lunch and dinner to the relay - and also give a  generous donation himself

What I found useful in getting out the word of a relay is thinking of all the places that have bulletin Boards or think of all the places that people frequent such as restaurants and Grocery retailers such as Gelsons or Ralphs who were very generous

 and different areas such as the post office or banks

This is what we did and it worked - in a big way  - so good luck and best wishes in all that you do

our relay at the Paul revere Middleschool in

Brentwood  on Apr.5&6th and  took in 70,000 plus whatever we received on silent auctions and this relay is the best experience of your life -
