We have a team that has numerous fundraisers during the year that are posted as "Team Level" donations. As the Relay event approaches, the team captain provides me with a list so that I can recalssify the Team donations among the various team members that particpated in the fund raising efforts. There are 5 Team Level postings that will be divided among 10 members.
I assume the way to do this is to (1) locate the specific Team gift(s) through Customer Service (2) select "View/Edit" and change the gift amount from $xx to $0 and (3) simply re-enter the gift "as if a new gift" and post the total among the various individuals. Please let me know if this is not the proper way to do this.

If it's easier for you, post the 50 individual transactions using the batch data entry app.
Easier still is to discuss with the TC why you're being put through this tedious exercise. It is, after all, "A Team Event to Fight Cancer."
