My friend Jay is 25, he has liver cancer. I was diagnosed after Jay but we both were in treatment at the same time. He is a remarkable drummer. Jay's battle with cancer has been long and hard. His cancer is very active at this time and a true threat to his life. This breaks my heart. My daughter Shelby and Jay were good friends and that is how I met him. This relay, I walk this track not only for myself but for my young buddy Jay. We need to keep the trials going, we need to find a way to stop this dreaded enemy in its tracks. My heart goes out to Jay's mom and family, and I keep telling him to stand strong, state of mind is everything. Please support relay for life, if not with team shereen then just send your checks to the ACS so they can keep the research going, we have to keep serching for better treatments, we have to keep Jay's and all the Jay's out there at this time hope alive
