Each team has been asked to bring a trinket for each survivor that will be at our relay. After the survivor lap and before the luminaria ceremony, the survivors will "trick or treat" at each campsite where we will give them each a little trinket. I would appreciate any ideas anyone might have for a little trinket that would be easy to make and/or very inexpensive as we are hoping to have at least 190 survivors this year. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Teri
How about a personal note of encouragement from someone on your team? It's a great way to celebrate our survivors!

Some ideas
We do this at our event. We make a coupon book for each survivor. Then they go and redeem their "coupon" at each team tent. We have had such things as,
Apples from the teachers
the hospital one year gave out their water bottles,
a church team used one of their vbs craft ideas.
pen and pencils from your office works nice.
one group took a digital camera and took their photos and had frames made up.
one year a team handed out small potted plants.
Use your imagination. It is really a lot of fun, the survivors have a bag full of goodies that didnt' cost a lot, but they love visiting all the tents.
good luck

Survivor Trinkets
RFL Toolkits and Guidebooks are full of really great ideas! How about wrapping Hershey's Kisses or Treasures in purple cellophane pouches tied with purple ribbon? You can also dip cookies, pretzels, fortune cookies, etc. in melted white chocolate dyed with food coloring (red+blue). Or sprinkle the dipped stuff with purple sprinkles. Put one in a sandwich baggie and tie with purple ribbon. Be creative and think outside the box!

Ribbons?
You could make some purple ribbons to give out to the survivors. They are really easy and directions for making them are here:

I don't know if you have
I don't know if you have checked this out yet or not but oriental trading has a lot of breast cancer items and they are reasonable on prices. www.cafepress.com also has tons of relay stuff you might want to check out. I hope this helps. Good Luck.
