Hello. I was just wondering. I want to send out cards/letters to families that I don't have email addresses for.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should word it? I've sat down several times trying to write something and it just doesn't seem right.

Thanks

letter suggestion

The best way to approach a letter is to tell your story. Start out by telling people you are participating in RFL and then tell them WHY you relay or how you heard about RFL. Just tell it from your heart like you were talking to a close friend. You never know you might get someone interested in joining your team.

Here's my story to give you some inspiration... I relay because I wanted to be part of a charity that I could be more involved in instead of just writing a check. I have lost friends to cancer and could not stand to see them suffer. I wanted to participate in another cancer event but the cost to participate (fundraising minimum) was more than my mortgage payment. I was asked by a co-worker a week after I dropped out of the other cancer event to join her team. This year will be my 4th relay. I have been team captain, Luminaria Chairperson, and am currently Online Chairperson. I can truly say "I love Relay". It is fun and amazing.
