This is my first year to be on the Relay Committe and I am chair of the activities/entertainment. I am looking for simple, fun games and activities for all ages. I've gotten some ideas from other posts but am looking for more. THANKS!!

Alligator Wrestling

We inflate about six of the large alligator pool toys and then have a contest to see who can defalte them the fastest, whcih looks a lot like wrestling.  You can use other large inflatables too, just be warned that you still have to inflate them all :)

Hot wings and ice cream eating contests are also fun, and both can be donated.  For the wings just get the spiciest wings available (I'd say no less than 5 a person) and first to finish wins. For the ice cream its a no hands race to the finsih (just make sure the bowls/containers are shallow and of course that the ice cream doesn't melt)

Activities

Several things come to mind...easy and fun!  Hula Hoop and Limbo contests are usually well received.

One thing we do at our Relay that was fun and everyone loved...is the Cardboard Box Race.   At 8pm we give a cardboard box (donated from a moving company usually the medium size)  team then have to put the box together so that a person can fit it around them, decorate the boxes incorporating the Relay theme (CRFB this year) and their team theme.  At midnight, decorating ends and they have one person from their team wear the box and enter the race.  It is great fun and gets the team involved.  We usually tell the Team Captains the last TC Meeting so they can bring what supplies they will need to Relay for decorating, etc.

We also do a pajama lap and party around 230am

Hope this helps!

Cardboard box race

What a cool idea - you could also incorporate a "Mission Moment" and talk about the Road to Recovery program!

Pillow Case Balloon Toss - 2

Pillow Case Balloon Toss - 2 pillowcases & 4 players per team. Toss a water balloon between players using a pillow case. With each successful toss, take a step away from your team mates. Team left with balloon wins.

Wash Out Cancer - Can be done in rounds with finalists competing for prize. Person who gets the most washers in the can in 1 minute wins. You can use coffee cans, 5 gallon buckets, etc.

Flush Out Cancer - Kids toss rolls of toilet paper in a toilet. First to get 3 in wins.

How about a frozen Tshirt

How about a frozen Tshirt contest where you soak th tshirt in water then freeze it. Then contestants try to get it put on. it really is a good one. Do you have inflatables for the kids? They always love those. We are focusing on our teens more this year and we are doing a Video game Challenge. I have found a sign company here to build me 4 8x8 screens out of Core plas and we will hang them from the football goal posts here. then we are using 4 nintendo wiis for the kids to play on. I think so far what you have sounds great!!!
