We are trying to find a way to identify individuals who make a donation to a team by send a check into the ACS office.  My understanding is that the name of the donor is not captured.   A team report only reflects team totals.  The problem is we want to thank the donor, and no continuing to ask for a donation.

Any ideas?

Tracking individual donations

The only way to get the data in this scenario is for the local ACS office to capture it for you. A simple solution...have them make a photocopy of the check that's sent in. (The ABA and account number at the bottom of the check can be obscured for security reasons.)

Tracking Individual Donations

Patti

We rented a P O Box in our community and use it to receive donations, post that address on our site instead of the ACS office.  Our accounting/registration chairs make all of the deposits and notify the individuals when a donation is received so that they can post if offline if they wish.

Works well for us, we've done it this way for years.
