Well I can't find my original post about doing a Wear Your Relay Tshirt day, but we are starting ours here in Massachusetts and getting a great response from promotion partners - merchants in town who want to get in on it. I know there were many replies from people who were running with this.

This is a great awareness generator and turning into an easy year round fund raiser that connects Relayers throughout the year and hopefully gets promotional partners competing to join in!!

Think of how many thousands of walking talking paid for advertisements - Relay T shirts - are laying in dresser drawers. We are declaring the first Saturday of every month Relay Tshirt day and you are supposed to wear any of your shirts. Got too many like me? Give them to friends.

And so far we have two businesses, Dunkin Donuts and Dress Barn, who want to offer discounts to anyone who shows up in a Relay T. Dunkin Donuts is doing it for a whole month. We are encouraging people to take the $ they save and contribute it to Relay, and of course in the long run will try to get partners to contribute a percent of sales to Tshirt wearers directly to Relay. This is happening in other towns with places like Wendys, and other restaurants.

So this can be year round fund raising too while getting everyone out there promoting the Relay. I want to get those Tshirts out there! So far every time I have seen a Tshirt I have gone up to the person and had a wonderful conversation.

The millions of Tshirts out there could become the ACS version of the Lance bracelet....
