Our Relay is located in a rural area. The towns surrounding our Relay are the same. Has anyone used yard signs, like political signs, to advertise their Relay? If so what did you have printed on them and was the investment worth it?

Yard Signs
We are also a very rural community. Several years ago we used these yard signs. They were preprinted with information to the effect of:
A Relay For Life Team Captain lives here...please contact me for more information on how to participate in or donate to the Relay For Life of XXXXX.
I am not sure how effective they were as a fundraising tool but they definitely raised awareness of the event in our community.
Yard Signs
We have used the yard signs. They work well. We also have a Relay in a rural area. Your local ACS person should be able to get you preprinted yard signs. There is an spot on the sign you can write information on. This way you do not need to have them printed. The cost per box of 25 signs is some where around $30.00. We have also used these as a fundraiser for our event. Sold the signs for $10.00 donation, and each team could put there own information on the sign. It works in several ways.
