Wow, it has only been five short months since I sat in front of the computer making my Making Strides Against Breast Cancer page deciding what words were worthy enough to describe my mother and her fight against breast cancer.  We participated in that event...me, my mother, my dad and my new daughter. That day is one that I would never give back for anything. That day was all about my mother and her fight against breast cancer. My mother won her battle and was diagnosed as cancer free in December-just 2 months after the event.  However, February 27, 2008 (just two months later) my mother lost her life due to a complication of a different surgery.  But my mother beat cancer. Thanks to research, modern medicine and her unending will to win...she beat it. Today we fight for others to have that right.  Not only do we do this in remembrance of my mother, we do it in memory of my sister, grandmother, great grandmother and my mother in law.  Please help us to help others in their battle.  We are participating in the Relay for Life in Starkville on May 2, 2008. This was my mother's plan and idea, I am simply the tool that is carrying it out.  Please help us to make this event all that she would dream of. Please send donations to me.
