This is my 3rd year as survivorship chair for my relay (almost 10 yr involvement).  Since we no longer are using kintera, how are other chairs receiving information on survivors who register online for their survivor's lap?  I miss being able to personally contact my new and returning survivors.  I'm told that my local ACS office can run a report for me, but that seems to be an additional and unnecessary step.  Suggestions, comments?

Survivor Report

Christine,

Our Relay is in southern New Jersey (Eastern Region) and we had the same question about both the survivor registrations and the luminaria purchases made on-line.  I am the event chair for our Relay and there are three of us (the event chair, the on-line chair, and the ACS Staff Partner) who have access to our website as well as the ability to run the reports.  I have done this several times already and it is very, very simple...a matter of a few keystrokes and less than three minutes.  Once the report is generated, the person running the report has the ability to both print and email the report.  Like you, I like to send notes to participants as they register and that has not changed.  Why don't you contact your event chair and set it up for someone to email you the report on a weekly basis?  It really would not be an inconvenience for the person doing it...and it is by all means for a great reason!  Good luck...

Survivor Reports

Now, I'll preface this with:  I am in California and each Division has their own set of reports, so in your area, this may be different.  So I really should ask you what area you are in.

But it is possible that your Online Chair may be able to run the reports for you.  Something different this year, though, is that Survivors don't have to register twice.  If they are registering to Relay, as a part of that process, they can check that they are a Survivor and that also registers them for the Survivor Lap.  If they are only registering for the Survivor Lap, they will be on a Survivor report.  If they check off that they are a Survivor as a part of the Relay registration, then the report that shows all Relayers will show them as a Survivor, as well.  So if your Online chair has the same reports as we in CA do, he/she can run the Participants report and the Survivor Lap report and email you the results.

I hope that helps...
