This is my first time doing a relay. My 20 month old niece has ATRT a rare brain cancer.  She is currently at St. Judes undergoing radiation therapy. This has hit our family very hard. Until she was diagnosed I didn't think about cancer very often. Other than praying for her theres not much we can do. So, to honor my niece and all those fighting or those who have lost their fights we want to get involved in Relay For Life. So, if anyone has any information to newcomers it would be greatly appreciated.

1st Timer- ATTAGIRL

Jessica-

You are doing exactly the right thing for your niece!

I'm assuming you have already gone to www.cancer.org and checked out the information available on ATRT, or called 800-ACS-2345 to talk to one of our representatives about it. If you haven't, do so first- you will see some of the wonderful things the Relay supports. They can not only get you information about the disease, but also how to help your family deal with it best.

The more you know- as you have asked- the more you can help. Please navigate through our Springboro website at www.SpringboroRelay.org, and you will see what we are currently doing down here in SW Ohio, monthly bulletins, pictures from last year's relay, my Team page (Knight Walkers), and others.

Most important- get with your local Relay Committee- volunteer to get out in your community, tell your/your niece's story- get donations ($) and raise awareness of what ACS is doing!

I've only been doing Relay for three years, however, please let me know if I can help-
