I only see where you can register for survivor lap ONLY (not part of a team or a team captain). How do you do this if you are part of a team? Is this something that has to be done through the office?
I don't see any "promote" link next to the team roster under the team progress as our online chair indicated there should be.
Anyone have any help???
I have to say this new set up isn't all that great......hope it gets better....
Well-i discovered on my own the other day that the "promote to captain" is on an entirely different screen all together. You have to click on "Event manager" Then you can manage team from there-but it's not on "Team Progress" at least not on our site. Also I found out you cannot have Co-captains. Once you promote someone, the other captain is demoted to team member.

Registering as a survivor
Leslie, when you registered either through Start a Team or Join a Team, if you answered the question "I Relay because..." with "I'm a survivor", your registration automatically identified you for the survivor list.
The "Survivor Lap" sign up link is just that...for folks in your community who don't want to join a team but want to participate in the Event itself. Identifying yourself as a survivor on the team registration puts you on the same survivor list for your Event.
As to promoting a team co-captain...If you're the Team Captain and can get to the Team Progress" tab. you should find in the lower half of the page a full team listing. Below each person's name is a "promote" link. (There are two lists; the first is the roster, the second is a fundraising results report.)

Survivor Registration
I think it's confusing for people that when you click Survivor Lap, you can see that it is selecting both Survivor Lap and Join as an Individual. This then takes you to the same page as the Relayer registration, so that it doesn't matter what link you clicked to get there, you are all on the same page. And then it asks how much your fundraising goal is, with a default of $100. I understand why it's $100 - because that's our Relayer default, but I think it's odd that if you are registering just for Survivor lap that that is there. And it may be somewhat off-putting.
When looking at the list of participants in Customer Service, it lumps those registering just for the Survivor Lap in with the Relayers. You cannot sort through them in any way there. You must run a report to determine who the Survivor Lappers are. But if the Survivor checked they are Relaying because they are a Survivor, they do not show up on the Survivor Lap report. They show up on the Particpant report and you have to sort by the reason to Relay.
On your home page, it also includes the Survivors in with your Participant count. That will be confusing for people when comparing to the numbers we present for meeting our goals. I realize we can just deduct the Survivors from the count, but it just seems to be artificially inflating the number.
