Offline Donation Question

Is there anyway for participants to get their donations to show up online when they have donors write a check or give cash? I tried the little button in the participant center, but none of that got recorded into the online thermomete. Any ideas? Thanks! FYI, offline donations are turned on for High Plains but they will not appear until someone goes in through Convio and approves them. There's a chance your event may have decided not to approve them. We are approving them but are wishing we weren't! :) Anyway we can turn that option off now that we've opened that can of worms?? Offline donations
Liz, a quick clarification to David's posts...In South Atlantic Division, we haven't enabled offline donation entry by participants and Team Captains. The same may not be true in High Plains Division. Offline donations can only be applied to the Team, The Relay, or the Participant by the Online Chair or the ACS Income Manager only after the money has been turned in and verified. I should have just posted that so not to confuse you if I did Offline Donation Help
David: So how does one find out who the Online Chair or the ACS Income Manager for their area is? There is nothing listed on the homepage for our Relay event. I am working hard and must admit I am finding this a bit discouraging. It shouldn't be this hard to contact someone for help. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. In the California Division, Offline donations may not be posted to the running total. Last year, as funds came in and were verified by ACS, our Relay posted the amounts on a separate webpage. Knowing that those funds often come with dedications, we also posted those on another page, if requested. Offline Donation
The only way I know of is for the ACS Income Manager to verify the check or cash then either enter it him or her self into the system credited to the participant. Participants can not add to their own totals. If you turn in the offline donation to your ACS Income Mgr, you should have it credited to your goal. Or the Online Chair with the verification from the ACS Income Mgr can also update your offline donations Make sense? |
