Our team is collecting cell phones and ink cartridges for recycling, but we want an actual person to recommend a site, so that we don't get scammed or whatever (because how much would it stink to send in the twenty dollars worth of phones and then never get anything back?). We were looking at phoneraiser.com, which seems to be the best known, and also http://www.fundraiseralley.com/recycle.html, which seems like the better deal but th one that's more likely to be a fake. Has anyone worked with one of these two or heard that they were scams? Or, of course, do you have any recommendations of sites to use? Thanks muchly, of course!

Hello,
I'm new to this as well...I'm not sure about the cell phones; I did a collection at work where we donated them to a non-profit for domestic abuse victims and I verified them on the better business bureau website.
Staples takes ink & toner, if you ask for it they will give you a $3.00 coupon for each cartridge receyled. You can either cash them in and raffle off some great techie items or ask the GM if they will exchange the coupons for a check.
Good Luck
Hi,
My team is currently collecting phones and ink cartridges. We are using phoneraiser and funding factory. I haven't sent anything in to either of the companies yet so I can't attest to the legitimacy. BUT, when I signed up with phoneraiser they sent info via email and funding factory sent me a really nice getting started package in the mail. I think funding factory accepts a few more phones and cartirdges than phoneraiser also. So I THINK funding factory is probably a good one just from what I have seen so far.
