Hi everyone :) I'm Tricia from Madison, Indiana.

First year Captain with A Pause In Time Photography's Shooting For A Cure team! (I'm also the owner of A Pause In Time Photography :) and we're members of www.thinkpinkphotography.org !).

I've already learned a lot on here and look forward to learning even more! Last night was the first meeting (I had not been able to find information before that or would have been at them all). The only theme that our area is having this year is using the Red, Blue, and Purple....so we just went with our own team theme of Shooting For A Cure and we also will have at least 5 photogs on the team so we're going to be shooting the event as well!!

Just wanted to say hi basically....I ramble LOL sorry! I am so honored to be a part of this!

Thank you!

HI! Thank you both for your welcome!!

Comments for photogs...honestly I'm all about just having FUN with this one. But short version things....esp when you're shooting at night....try and get an inexpensive diffuser for your flash ...for point and shoot cameras this is a good one http://store.garyfonginc.com/delta.html or if you have a rebel or similar try something like this http://store.garyfonginc.com/puf-01.html. These are a HUGE help with things like red-eye and bright faces, etc. Saves a  LOT of time in going through pics (you can also find them on Ebay, just being quick tonight since I have work to edit).

It's not necessary to always center every single pic, it really adds depth to shoot off center as well. If you look here you'll see what I mean...would be a same old same old pic if it was centered but being off kilter gives it a whole new sense http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/rule-of-thirds/.

And, shoot FUN! Tilt the camera and shoot it with a diagnal tilt....capture the goofy fun and serious moments that aren't "posed" all the time (the most popular wedding shots are no longer the traditional posed, they are the "photo-journalistic" ones!

Hope that helped a little...as I said, I tend to ramble! I think we have a few scrapbookers that will be on our team....I hope since I'm SO not creative on that part LOL!

Pleased to meet ya'll!
